CHASING INFORMATION
ASOS voice numbers can be a valuable tool when out chasing,
especially when visibility may be poor and you are out of cell coverage.

From my own chasing experience, I have found out the hard
way that it is good to know what the area is like before you go chasing there.
The Relief Maps give you and idea of the elevation, while the Satellite Images
show you the vegetation type (forests or not) and other surface characteristics.
Make sure to take into account the time of year the photo was taken in your
interpretation.
Don't rely on radio stations for the latest. Get a Weather
Radio! Here is a list off all the frequencies and areal coverages. Get the latest
warnings for your area from NOAA Wx Radio.
